Stay Safe and Sound this Summer Hawaii Paddle Boarding

When it comes to Hawaii, it is hard to imagine the outdoors without hawaii paddle boarding.

Not only that the SUP is a popular sport in this area, but also it is the nicest way to enjoy the surrounding of Hawaii without having to spend thousands of bucks. It is also a great form of exercise which is relaxing and enjoyable.

paddleboarding has been played by many folks regardless their age and gender. It is much safer when compared to other water sports in Kauai. But it does not mean you can overlook the safety measures when you are about paddling with your friends or family. Sometimes the accidents can even be fatal. This season can be a bit tricky for all the SUP doers because the weather can change instantly. So, it is important to follow the general safety guidelines when hawaii paddle boarding.

First things first, you will want to make sure that you wear the standardized PFD to protect you and your entourage from injury. We know that PFD is not the most convenient clothing that you ever wear. But let’s admit that it will save your life many times.

Before heading out this season, it is important to always check the weather. There is a good chance that the weather can go really bad this day and you will want to postpone your tour plan. There’s a chance that many people will neglect this. Unexpected changes in weather can really affect all your plans. In more severe case, there are many people who were injured because of the significant weather change in Kauai and other areas in Hawaii. Don’t hesitate to ask the locals about the weather of Hawaii. Also, keep tapping on the information about the weather forecast so that you will know when to move.

Being considerate when wearing a leash. There are many experienced SUP paddlers are not wearing the leash. While they look pretty cool with that, it is not actually good for them. Folks will think that they won’t need to wear a leash because they are able to swim. Well, it is not the right mindset. When the river is not friendly, the water can set you apart from your board. You will then regret that you are not wearing your leash.

Don’t forget to check all the gears and stuff that you need to bring for the day of the SUP activities.  It is a great idea to make preparation a day prior to the moment and check them again in the morning. If you are going hawaii paddleboarding with your friends, make sure that you and your friends work together to prepare the tours. Alas, good luck!
