When you rent a paddleboard, you probably have ample time to learn all the basics and practices of the friendly places. If you can find anything wider, that can also be awesome. You will realize that even an inch different can really make difference when you exercise on the board.

If by chance you are preparing yourself at home, or when your instructor is not around, you could watch the videos tutorials to help you. Well, you can get it from your trainer or other sources. You could mimic the same gestures as the professionals do. You will naturally learn how to deal with the instability that occurs when you are on the water.

Last but not least, use the buddy system. Working and practicing together with your peers can be the most effective way to master the basics of the SUP. When you rent a paddleboard for serious business, you will no longer be nervous.
